The Trent Teaching Commons is excited to borrow from the Swedish tradition of fika to offer instructors the chance to come together to enjoy a coffee and snack and engage in an informal discussion of a topic of current importance to teaching at Trent.   

Our February Teaching and Learning Fika will take place on both the Peterborough and Durham campuses and will focus on taking risks and making changes in our teaching. What models and exemplars are available for innovative assessments or instructional strategies? What is the best way to implement changes to teaching and assessment? And, how can we know whether these changes are improving students' learning? We hope you will join us for coffee and conversation!
