Fifth Annual Trent Giving Day Campaign Launches to Support Student Success
Trent community invited to double their impact and support students through gifts to the Trent Fund as part of Trent Giving Day on April 9
Trent University is calling upon its global community of alumni, supporters, faculty, and staff to come together for the fifth annual Trent Giving Day on April 9 and support student success through gifts to the Trent Fund.
Contributions to the Trent Fund ensure that every student – no matter their background – has the opportunity to thrive. The Trent Fund provides critical support where it’s needed most, ensuring that every student, whether they are pursuing a career in research, sustainability, or community leadership, has the resources they need to succeed.
In celebration of Trent’s 60th anniversary, Karen and Bill Morrison '86 (Champlain College) will match the first $5,000 in gifts, dollar for dollar, until the matching funds are fully realized, helping the community double the impact of their gifts to the Trent Fund for Trent Giving Day.
Students like Milena Deamaral, who is pursuing her dreams of becoming a psychotherapist, are supported by gifts to the Trent Fund. Access to on-campus employment has made a significant difference in Milena’s academic and personal life by providing a flexible work schedule that allows her to prioritize studies and benefit from a supportive team that is invested in her success — ‘a true campus connection’.
The Trent Fund responds swiftly and flexibly to emerging student needs, providing flexible support when and where students need it the most.
“On Trent Giving Day and in honour of Trent’s 60th anniversary, we hope you’ll join in celebrating your Trent connection by supporting the Trent Fund and empowering the next generation of leaders,” says Sherry Booth ’98, associate vice president Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement. “Together, we can turn possibility into something momentous.”
